Some items cannot be delivered to our UK warehouse: auction lots, private-seller purchases, anything with no delivery option. Where that happens, we collect the item in person, and a collection fee covers that work.
The fee is £50 per item collected. It is charged only on the items that actually need collecting, so most orders never incur it.
It is separate from the handling fee, and it is not marked up. It does not form part of the items subtotal your handling fee is worked out on; it is the cost of the work, passed on as its own charge.
Collection is London-based as standard. For an item outside London, ask us and we will quote it case by case: we would consider it where the value justifies the trip.
Where a collection fee applies, it appears as its own line on your quote, so you see it before you pay. How quotes work explains the quote, and What the handling fee covers explains our main fee.
