By accessing and using Importise's services, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
Importise provides a procurement and shipping service from the UK to Nigeria. We purchase items on your behalf from UK retailers and ship them to your Nigerian address. Our service includes order placement, item verification, consolidation, and international shipping.
As a user of our service, you agree to:
Payment is required in Nigerian Naira (₦) for all services. Invoices must be paid before items are shipped to Nigeria. We accept bank transfers and approved online payment methods. Our handling fee, which covers sourcing and handling your order, is calculated on the item cost.
Shipping times are estimates and not guaranteed. Importise is not responsible for delays caused by customs clearance, weather conditions, carrier issues, or other factors beyond our reasonable control.
Your shipping invoice is charged at cost and covers freight to Nigeria together with any charges incurred in bringing your order into the country. This includes customs, duties and clearance, and any charges that apply to particular items, for example additional checks for goods containing batteries or additional clearance for televisions and similar electronics. Shipping is charged on the greater of the actual or the volumetric weight of your order. All applicable charges are payable by you and, where known before shipping, are shown on your shipping invoice, which must be paid in full before your order is released.
Collection. As standard, orders are collected from our agent's office in Lagos. Once your order arrives we send you an arrival notice, and you must collect within three working days of that notice. Orders collected after this period may incur storage charges, payable by you before release, and orders left uncollected for an extended period may be disposed of. Onward delivery to another location can be arranged in advance for an additional fee; it is not available on very small orders, which are collection-only in Lagos. Where arranged, onward delivery takes place after your order has cleared and any applicable charges are settled.
After your items are received at our United Kingdom facility, we inspect them and photograph exactly what we received. These photographs are shown on your order page and confirm that we have sourced the correct items. If you believe we have sourced any incorrect items, please contact us within 24 hours of the inspection notification through your order messages. If we do not hear from you, your order continues toward shipping. This is a confirmation that the correct items were sourced, not an approval or cancellation step.
We do not purchase or ship the following items:
Orders can be cancelled before purchase confirmation at no charge. Once items are purchased from UK retailers, refunds are subject to the retailer's return policy. The handling fee may not be refundable after purchase. Damaged items must be reported within 48 hours of delivery or collection with photographic evidence.
Items sourced from private sellers, auctions and online marketplaces are final sale. As these are typically one-off or pre-owned items that cannot be returned to the seller, we are unable to offer a refund or exchange once we have purchased the item on your behalf. Our inspection step, where we photograph the item we received and confirm it is the correct item, applies to these purchases.
Where an item is reported damaged or not as ordered within this window, the outcome depends on the cause. If we sourced the wrong item (the wrong product, model, colour or quantity), that is our error and we put it right at our cost. If the correct item was ordered but the seller misrepresented it, for example undisclosed damage, missing parts or a counterfeit, we make reasonable efforts on your behalf to resolve the matter with the seller, but we cannot guarantee the outcome, particularly with private sellers, auctions and marketplaces, where our recourse is limited. If we sourced exactly what you asked for in the condition described, the sale stands and the item is not returnable for a change of mind. Any refund we make is issued as account credit; we do not offer cash refunds after delivery.
Time-limited listings. Auctions and listings with a closing time require sufficient notice for us to prepare a quotation and for you to settle it before the listing ends. As we quote within one working day, we cannot guarantee that we will purchase a lot ending within twenty-four hours, and we are not responsible for a listing that closes before your payment has been confirmed. If a listing is time-sensitive, you must tell us directly.
Importise is not liable for damages, losses, or delays beyond our reasonable control. Our liability is limited to the value of the handling fee paid for the affected order. We are not responsible for errors in product listings on retailer websites or for items damaged by carriers after proper packaging.
