3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:

  • UK retailers: To complete purchases on your behalf

  • Service providers: Who assist with our operations (under confidentiality agreements)

4. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your information from unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. This includes encryption, secure servers, and regular security audits. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Cookies and Tracking

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies.

  • Essential cookies: keep you signed in and protect our forms against cross-site request forgery. They are required for the site to work and do not need your consent.
  • The Meta Pixel (advertising): with your consent, we load the Meta Pixel, a tool from Meta Platforms Ireland Limited that helps us measure how our advertising performs and reach people who may be interested in our service. It sets cookies such as _fbp and sends Meta a record of the pages you view and actions such as opening an account. It does not run until you accept it on the cookie banner, and it never runs on your signed-in account pages.
  • Microsoft Clarity (analytics): with your consent, we load Microsoft Clarity, a product-analytics tool from Microsoft. It records how you use our site, including the pages you visit, how you interact with them, and a recorded playback of your session, so we can find problems and improve the site. It sets cookies such as _clck and _clsk. Like the Meta Pixel, it does not run until you accept it on the cookie banner, and it never runs on your signed-in account pages.

Your light or dark theme choice is stored in your browser only and is never sent to us.

Your choice. On your first visit, a banner lets you accept or reject non-essential cookies, both in one click. You can change your decision at any time using Cookie preferences (also in our site footer), control cookies in your browser, and manage ad personalisation in your Meta account settings. Rejecting non-essential cookies does not affect your use of the site. Meta's own privacy policy explains how Meta processes this data.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of your personal information
  • Correct: Update inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Delete: Request deletion of your account and data
  • Object: Opt-out of marketing communications
  • Export: Receive your data in a portable format
  • Restrict: Limit how we process your information

To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@importise.co

7. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Order history and transaction records are retained for 7 years for accounting and legal purposes. Inactive accounts may be deleted after 3 years of inactivity.

8. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and stored on servers in different countries to facilitate our UK-to-Nigeria shipping service. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your information in compliance with applicable data protection laws.

9. Children's Privacy

Our services are not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we discover that we have collected information from a child under 18, we will delete it promptly.
